The Mass gallery in Tokyo presented a SHOWstudio takeover between 30th June - 30th July. Featuring SHOWstudio's ‘Moving Kate’ exhibition, SHOWstudio 01 and a Nick Knight Roses Portfolio. Each of these elements provided insight into this world renowned fashion platform and its founder Nick Knight.
The exhibition Moving Kate, celebrates Kate Moss, one of SHOWstudio's most prolific and valued contributors. The Mass introduced some of her many collaborations with Nick Knight and SHOWstudio, including early works from 2000 (the year SHOWstudio launched) and her more modern and contemporary projects with Knight, showcasing Moss’ ability to surprise and transform before the camera. To celebrate her magnetism on the runway, as well as on the screen, thirty of the world's best fashion illustrators interpreted her most iconic catwalk looks, each hand selected by Kate Moss as being favourites of her career. These artworks exhibited first in London, and were re-allocated and re-commissioned by Bex Cassie, for it's new audience in Tokyo.
In addition, The Mass 2 presented the magnificent Rose Portfolio by Nick Knight and in The Mass 3, the limited-edition box set SHOWstudio 01.
