In Autumn 2015, Veuve Clicquot unveiled The Widow Series, a new initiative that sees the brand enlist a different creative partner each October to create a bespoke Halloween experience as an ode to the famous widow, Madame Clicquot. For the debut event, Nick Knight and SHOWstudio commissioned an array of live performances and artworks. Bex Cassie, responsible for commissioning twenty-two one-off artworks by SHOWstudio’s diverse community of artists. Ellie Grace Cumming selected key looks from the S/S 16 collections, asking illustrators to pay homage to the theme, offering a beautifully macabre vision of the collections. The artworks were displayed in a pitch black room and viewed only by candlelight. The artworks and select pieces were then exhibited at SHOWstudio as a condensed summary of the event.
